Beginner-Friendly Ceramic Week
Spend a week discovering ceramics in the peaceful hilltop village of Montasola, in the Sabina Mountains of Italy.
With approximately four hours in the studio each day, you will have time to learn at a relaxed pace while still enjoying your stay in Italy.
During the week we will explore wheel throwing, hand building, trimming, decorating and glazing, taking you through the ceramic process from raw clay to finished work.
At the end of the course, you will have 3 finished ceramic pieces of your own.
No previous experience is necessary. The group is limited to just 4 participants, allowing plenty of individual attention and space to develop your own ideas.

Ceramic Courses
Ceramic courses are open to beginners and experienced makers. Sessions are adapted to the level and interests of the group.

About the Founder
Magda Toth is a Hungarian-born ceramic artist with an established creative practice in Ireland, now living and working in Italy for the past year and a half.
Her practice moves across functional, architectural and sculptural ceramics, as well as mosaic making and socially engaged art. Teaching has been a continuous part of her work, shaped by an interest in how people grow through making.
Through the act of making, something of the maker quietly emerges.
Mosaic Workshop
The mosaic workshop section has been kept as a short gallery and review area for past and future enquiries.

Trascorri una settimana alla scoperta della ceramica nel tranquillo borgo di Montasola, tra i Monti Sabini.
Con circa quattro ore al giorno in studio, avrai il tempo di imparare con calma e di goderti il soggiorno in Italia.
Durante la settimana esploreremo il tornio, la modellazione a mano, la rifinitura, la decorazione e la smaltatura, seguendo l’intero processo dalla creta grezza al lavoro finito.
Alla fine del corso avrai 3 pezzi in ceramica finiti e realizzati da te.
Non è richiesta alcuna esperienza precedente. Il gruppo è limitato a soli 4 partecipanti, così da garantire attenzione individuale e spazio per sviluppare le proprie idee.

Kezdőbarát kerámiahét
Tölts el egy hetet kerámiázással Montasola csendes hegytetőn fekvő falujában, a Sabina-hegységben.
Naponta körülbelül négy órát töltünk a műhelyben, így nyugodt tempóban tanulhatsz, miközben marad időd arra is, hogy élvezd az olaszországi tartózkodást.
A hét során a kerámiakészítés teljes folyamatát végigvesszük a nyers agyagtól a kész tárgyig: korongozás, kézi formázás, esztergálás, díszítés és mázazás.
A kurzus végére 3 saját, elkészült kerámiatárgyad lesz.
Előzetes tapasztalat nem szükséges. A csoport létszáma legfeljebb 4 fő, így mindenkire jut egyéni figyelem és elegendő tér a saját ötletek kidolgozására.

Artist Retreat Olaszországban
A Sabina-hegység csendes falujában, Montasolában a mANIma olyan hely, ahol a kéz és a lélek találkozik.
Olyan művészeket, alkotókat és kreatív gondolkodókat várunk, akik időt és teret keresnek saját munkájuk elmélyítéséhez, új inspirációkhoz és a mindennapoktól való eltávolodáshoz.
Az Artist Retreat lehetőséget ad arra, hogy néhány napra vagy akár egy hétre lelassulj, alkoss, kutass, írj, tervezz vagy egyszerűen jelen legyél egy inspiráló természeti környezetben.
A mANIma gyökerei a kerámiában vannak, ugyanakkor nyitott más művészeti ágak és alkotói gyakorlatok felé is. A jövőben különböző művészek és műhelyvezetők meghívásával szeretnénk közös alkotói programokat létrehozni.
